Poetry festival this weekend in Westchester.

April 14, 2010 \pm\30 7:14 pm

For the poets and people looking to mingle out there in the tristate area:  WWAATD recommends free weekend activity!

The Seventh Annual Sarah Lawrence College Poetry Festival will be held April 15-18, 2010 in Bronxville, New York.  It’s a quick 25-minute MetroNorth commute upstate and it promises to be full of poet-y goodness. Also, on Sunday night at 6pm there’s a release party for LUMINA, Sarah Lawrence’s student run lit mag.  And there might be hot babes (or dudes, whatever your fancy.  But this is Sarah Lawrence we’re talking about, so let’s be realistic, there will be a lot of women).

Entirely student-run, it’s the largest free poetry festival in New York State. Expected readers include Frank Bidart, Jericho Brown, Tina Chang, Shira Erlichman, Sarah Gambito, Matthea Harvey, Marie Howe, Kate Knapp Johnson, Alex Lemon, Ada Limón, Anis Mojgani, Lynne Procope, Zachary Schomburg, A.E. Stallings, Mark Strand, Brian Turner, G.C. Waldrep and more! Poet Extravaganza!
