The five boroughs.

There are names for people who live in Manhattan and Brooklyn: “Manhattanites” and “Brooklynites.” Natives of Staten Island are Staten Islanders. But what about the Bronx? “I am a Bronxer,” can’t be right. “Bronxite” sounds like a mineral. “Bronxian”? “Bronxist”?

Queens is even worse. (Perhaps the term could be “Queensienne”?)

Bronxist sounds like an elitist snob who scorns Manhattanites and Brooklynites.

This from a Georgian. A country girl who’s visited your lovely city exactly four times in her life!
