LIZZY ACKER was born in Oregon on the exact same day Lil’ Wayne was born in Louisiana. As is the case with all people born on September 27th, 1982, she’s spent much of her life crafting mad rhymes, playing the game, overcoming the odds, drinking cough syrup and learning about the gun laws of New York State. Her first book, “Monster Party”, was released in December of 2010 by Small Desk Press. She will show you her tattoos if you ask politely.

STEPHEN ROSENSHEIN hails from the beautiful Pacific Northwest. As an undergraduate at George Washington University, he accidentally majored in Psychology. After realizing his embarrassing mistake, he ran away to South America for several years before resurfacing in San Francisco to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing at San Francisco State University. He sometimes writes poems in the shape of countries he has visited. Find out more about his fascinating life at

Showing promise at the ripe young age of seven, CHEENA MARIE LO self-published her first collection of poetry entitled “Cheena’s Poetry,” which explored complex issues such as self-hood in relation to her new role as a big sister and the untimely death of her first goldfish, Freddie. Eighteen years later, Cheena is pursuing her MFA in poetry at Mills College. Her spirit animal is the turtle, and she is best known for leaving parties early.
