The dude from the Make-Up had a talk show?

Ian Svenonius‘ discography alone makes you and I and hummingbirds look downright lazy. Dude has penned excellent music for the likes of Make-Up, Nation of Ulysses, Scene Creamers and a hundred-and-a-half other side projects.

Turns out he’s also a cryptic essayist, author of “The Psychic Soviet.

And while the rest of us are wasting our time sleeping and picking things from our teeth, Svenonius has also been quietly hosting one of the web’s most interesting talk shows, Soft Focus. Mixing a thesaurus-and-a-half vocabulary, with Office-like dry humor and a murderers row of guests (all famous indie musicians), this has been one of our favorite discoveries lately.

*Also, if you’re into it, this is by far the best Make-Up video we’ve seen.
